You all know I’m always on the hunt for great fashion finds at great prices. Now that the holiday season is over, many people are staring down the face of new debt. So, with that in mind & because I just love finding a killer steal on awesome looks, I bring you the Fashion Vault

Those of us that live in warm weather states are happy campers because while the rest of the country battles cold weather, we have an extended summer. We happily go about in our spaghetti straps & open toed shoes while everyone else is all bundled up. However, it seems many retailers are still selling open toed shoes as if they oblivious to the words snow, freezing temperatures & cold as hell LOL This works out for all of whether you realize it or not.

Whats better than cute summer shoes you ask? How about cute summer shoes at up to 80% off because retailers want to get rid of them but because most of the country is sporting hats, gloves & scarves they can’t seem to move them out fast enough. Take advantage of this opportunity to build your summer wardrobe while you can because those 80% off sales will be a rare find when the temperatures are back up into the 70′s & 80′s.

We love to go shopping, shoe shopping in particular brings many a woman squealing into a store with the right storefront display. A shoe sale? Forget about it! A DESIGNER shoe on sale, oh, move out of the way, there may be a stampede. Recently, Christian Louboutin held a sample sale in New York. The women literally waited for hours for the opportunity to buy there. Steve Madden was here in Tampa earlier this year and the women stood in line for over an hour here as well. A designer shoe sale is news, big news to most women.

While we love our shoes, the best sales on designer shoes may not be in your back yard. Many high end retailers have some pretty nice sales on their designer stock. If you are paying attention, you can literally get these styles for pennies on the dollar. What’s even better about these sales is there is no long line, no rude people to fight through and certainly none of that yelling “I saw it first” stuff. LOL, I laugh but it’s pretty sad that I’ve actually seen real live fist fights break out over the last pair of a designer shoe. I’ve seen a few that I’ve even thought about landing a punch or two over….kidding (or am I?)

The other benefit of getting to these online sales is that certain styles are not available at your local store. The great thing about that is you won’t see those shoes coming & going. If you live in New York, LA, Chicago or a large metropolitan area like that, it may not really matter to you. I live in Tampa and I tease and say, Tampa is a small town that thinks it’s a big city, you run into people all the time that you know. How crappy is it to be out and not only see someone wearing the same blouse, dress or shoes but when it’s someone you and everyone else knows, out come the jokes about not getting the “dress like me” memo. No thank you, I’ll pass.

Being original is not easy in this day of mass production but if you are buying items on sale and online, chances are there were only a few left and if your size is available, the chances of you being the only person in your area that managed to get them before they were gone increases. I can’t tell you how many shoes I’ve purchased online on sale and I have yet to see them out and about. In fact, the running joke with the women that know me is now, whenever I show up, they all want to know “which shoes are you wearing?” Mostly because they have never seen them on anyone else. Ahhh, I love that feeling.

The women came early, stood in line for over an hour, music was blaring and it was almost like a rock concert. Steve Madden came to Tampa and the shoe groupies were out in force. Unfortunately, I was not able to personally make it but that doesn’t mean there were no eyes & ears on the scene. I was judging a step contest, I was entertained and had a great time.

My fellow shoe lover Shana was there and gave me blow by blow updates. I even got a countdown! 30 more minutes & the DJ is rockin’, 15 more minutes and Julissa Bermudez from 106 & Park is here, 5 more minutes and he just walked through the crowd. It was sweet torture! A pair of shoes were given away and a 10 year old won, the women were not happy. LOL
