I started my morning off sharing on my fan page where my friend Liane got Gucci Shoes for $22.48 and that made me think of another place where you can find designer shoes for less than $30. The site where she made her purchase has authenticated used luxury items but there are places right in your own backyard where you can find some pretty stellar steals.
Thrift stores are where I find a great deal of my designer clothes. I decided to peruse the shoe section on a couple of my visits figuring if they had designer clothes, then shoes had to be represented as well. I was pleased with my findings.
I typically venture over to my local Goodwill located at:
I am not the traditional style blogger in the sense that many of these fabulous fashionistas put on their flare & then photograph themselves showing off the look. I of course am in love with my shoes & rarely share my photo on my blog. However, I love to be a part of something fun so when I discovered that Kristina over at Pretty Shiny Sparkly was doing an activity called Bloggers Do It Better….well, hello! I had to jump on board & of course, I was the late comer (aren’t you supposed to be fashionably late to parties)
I thought I’d missed it but she let me know there was still time to join the fun. So, without further ado, here is me in my sequins.
Glad I got to be a part of the fun.
What I’m wearing: Sequined see through tank from Forever XXI (got it off the clearance rack). Hello Skinny Jeans (got those on sale too at Kits Well Heeled & Well Dressed) and Sam Edelman Quebec shoes (got them on sale too of course)

The look above is more for the evening, before I realized she was doing this challenge, I was sporting one of my favorite hats….which happens to be sequined. So I’m adding that to show you that you can be blinged out even during the work day.
Almost every Wednesday, I post wedges. I have declared it Wedge Wednesday. Why you ask? Why not? Heels are fun, they are sexy and after a while, they need a break & so do your feet. Wearing wedges gives you the lift but also provides a bit more support. Who said wedges aren’t sexy? Are you kidding me? Not only are they sexy but the colors & various designs make me happy. Check these out and if you still think wedges can’t be sexy, well then we’ll just relegate you to the flip flop section
Giving an entirely new meaning to BINGO! These strappy wedges by Fergie are welcomed in my closet. That heel is almost 6″, baby if that’s not bringing you to new heights, I don’t know what will! On sale….even better! They are 15% off
Carlos Santana is making music with this pair. Loving the cork heel, in my opinion because cork has that springy feel, this equals added comfort. The heel is 4.5″ and these can be worn with a multitude of things because the colors are neutral.
I always tease & tell people that I can run a marathon in shoes by Jessica Simpson. I have yet to put on a pair of pumps or wedges that are not comfy. Its like she used my foot as her mold. This cutie pie is pretty in pink & believe it or not, what really caught my eye is the little cutout of color on the back. Its got a 5 3/4″ heel but the platform is 2″. See? Built in comfort.
So these are my 3 list toppers for this week but here are a few others for you to consider
If you have not yet discovered it yet, I’m here to tell you all about it. It is Pinterest. It’s a bunch of bulletin boards where you pin your interests. You can find others & repin what they’ve pinned to their boards or you can like their items. There is a place to make comments & depending on their settings, you can even pin things to their boards that you think they would like or are relevant to the theme of the board. There are some really cool things & people out there.
I have a few boards that are fashion related, for example: http://pinterest.com/bagsnshoes2/shoe-a-holics-support-group/ This is where I post shoes I find all over the web & of course, I repin some of the people I am following & who are following me.
Its not just about pinning pictures, you can also pin videos. You all know I love my shoes, well I can’t neglect my toes no matter what time of year it is. So I have a “How to Beauty” board & it has lots of videos of different nail art that I usually will try on my tootsies. http://pinterest.com/bagsnshoes2/how-to-beauty/

I also have a place where I post clothing items I like. I know I don”t talk about clothes very often but I do wear them I promise lol http://pinterest.com/bagsnshoes2/my-style/
I’m in love with all my boards, afterall, I did make them. So I have things that make me smile http://pinterest.com/bagsnshoes2/smile-inducers/ and music I enjoy http://pinterest.com/bagsnshoes2/music-that-i-enjoy/. You can create any type of board you’d like. It gives my followers another side of my personality. Anyway, I hope you will sign on & if you do, follow any of my boards that appeal to you….or don’t but I have a feeling I’ll see you on the Shoe-a-holics board
You know, as a professional sale stalker, I get a lot of requests for shoes from Coach, Louis Vuitton & of course Christian Louboutin. While I adore the shoes these designers offer, I often wonder if people really want to be different. I love owning some of the more popular designers but for me, the shoe is more about a unique look or style. The household names are great, don’t get me wrong but there are a lot of hot, overlooked shoes out there.
That brings me to this weeks wish list. I’m sure this designer is amongst someones favorite but in case you’ve never heard of Loeffler Randall or seen these shoes, here is a glimpse of gorgeous style that is not a common name.

I’m sure you can tell which 2 are my favorites! Although they are all great looking shoes. I’ll share other lesser known names in the coming weeks.
I am so excited to have been featured on a segment of my local news. ABC Action News reporter Ellen McNamara came out to find out what it is that I spend my day doing. In a nutshell, I stalk sales. I blog about my findings, share my thoughts on fashion & shoes and spend my day loving up on my computer so that it always treats me right
I have friends and fans from all over the world and this year I hope to increase the number of women I am able to help save money on designer fashions. I hope you all will help me by passing my blog and fan page along to your friends. I do my best to get the best value for the dollar. As a single mom with a kid in college and another quickly approaching, I found a way to cut corners on not just shoes (although, that’s my favorite) but our clothes as well. I have no shame in shopping at the local Goodwill or Salvation Army, I donate items to them so I may as well shop there. I have found some stellar deals there.
I will admit that I shop more online than I do offline because I can comparison shop and a lot of what is offered is not to be found at my local malls (that alone makes me squeal with happiness). Afterall, what “recessionista” wants to see themselves coming & going. (I stole the term recessionista from Ebony over at Above Promotions). Anyway, long story short, I stalk, we save. Please pass it on :-D Thanks
Webster has described a fetish as an object of irrational reverence or obsessive devotion. I’d say that describes how I feel about shoes I get up in the middle of the night and look at several different sites and do nothing more than admire shoes. Shoes make me happy, afterall, I spend a good amount of my time blogging, facebooking & tweeting about them. Shoes are the only accessory that you never leave home without.
Soooo, today I was surfing the net and came across an entirely different type of shoe fetish & it intrigued me. The first site I tripped over had a girl in a mask sitting in a window & it welcomed you to her site where she basically said her visitors belonged at her feet. Hmmm, ok, I don’t think so but again, I was intrigued so I pressed on. As I explored her site, I noticed tons of non-sexual pictures of her feet with and without shoes. Then, the best part of all happened. Before I reveal what the best part was, let me just say that I consider myself a conservative mother of 2 wonderful children whom I have raised alone for the past 11 years & while I am pretty open minded this was new territory for me. Ok, now that I’ve put my disclaimer out there, here’s the best part. I clicked on a page that said “Serve Me” and do you know what I found? A section that told people her monthly bills to include manicures & pedicures. I wanted so badly to email her and ask if people actually pay these bills for her simply because she has pictures of her feet displayed.
So I ventured further, I noticed in her sidebar that she has a facebook fan page. Off I went to explore only to learn that this woman has almost 4,000 fans, has been popular enough to have her accounts removed by Facebook and apparently does nothing but display her feet for a living. Guys, I think I’ve found my calling! LOL
After visiting her page, I decided to visit a few of her fans pages. One girl has an entire list of shoes she wants, her bills listed & she even has various amounts that you can “donate” via gift cards from stores she has listed or by paypal. I searched high & low to see what the appeal was that would make people pay for nothing more than the opportunity to look at their feet. Then I came across yet a 3rd site & there was a video of nothing but a girls feet in a pair of boots stomping on various items (flowers, waffles, vegetables and such). Her list of shoes included Manolo Blahniks, Christian Louboutin & several other high dollar shoes. As if she knew someone like me was lurking around her site, she posted pictures of her feet….or someones feet actually wearing some of these shoes as if to say “yeah, I know you’re wondering, they do pay for my shoes”.
My mother always said, if it looks too good to be true it probably is. I just know there has to be a catch somewhere….if not, I think I need to get some pictures of my feet…..QUICK! :-) Your thoughts….
I love a good sale! Who doesn’t? I tell everyone that I’m a sale stalker & most of the time all I ever really mention are the shoes that go on sale. However, on any given day, there are tons of really great things that go on sale. So many retailers entice you with one and two day sales and if you’re not paying attention, you could miss some great buys! Women who must wear the traditional professional clothes spend tons on those looks. Afterall, a nice, professional looking wardrobe is never really going to be cheap but if you watch for sales, you can really save a lot.
They have a wide selection of items to choose from unlike some other sales where the pickings are slim. I own a few suits from Jones New York & you can bet your bottom dollar, I got them on sale….afterall, what kind of sale stalker would I be if I paid full retail?
Another place that has some great items that go on sale occasionally at fantastic prices is shopbop.com where right now they are having a mid-season sale & some items are up to 70% off.
If you have not checked out their selection, it’s a little trendier than Jones but the quality is there, you will find plenty of designer names which translates to great quality and big savings.
At least once a month, 6pm.com has a sale on athletic shoes. If you aren’t stalking these sales, you’re going to miss them. I don’t know about you but I have a teenaged son & a sale on his shoes is ALWAYS welcome. Big feet = Big dollars! Trust me, I’m looking for savings wherever I can find them.
If you want updates on sales I’ve stalked, be sure to join my fan page and sign up for my newsletter. I love saving money & if you happen to purchase and save from a sale I stalked, I hope you’ll come back and tell me all about it.
There aren’t many days that I don’t have much to say but today is one of those days. It’s getting cooler in so many parts of the country that I’m just going to let these lovely boots speak for themselves.
We all know that I’m a high heel hog, LOL and I’m not at all ashamed to admit it. However, I’ve often told my fans that coming down a little closer to earth is a good idea. Gives the tootsies a little rest. I’m not going to bore you with all the health aspects of taking care of your feet. Instead, I’m going to share with you a cute podiatrist, tons of hot shoes and if you can hear him over the sound of that call in your ears to go shopping. ;-) Then perhaps you will take away something valuable. Enjoy the view!
